Below we have all seen cache pages like this but if you are new and want to make a Geocache hide
you may wonder "how is this done?". Below is one of my Cache Hides found on Geocaching.com
and I will show you how I made this listing step by step. It's easy! I'll give you a copy of
the Code that I used for my Cache Page that you can download. Then just replace my wording
and image with your own for your Cache Page. I'll show you some more options as we go through
the How To Instructions below.
Thanks to Groundspeak Inc. for their permission to use the geocaching.com images below.
Take a look at My cache Page and think about your page ideas for your listing then scroll down
the page and we will show you how to make your Cache Page. I will touch each part of the cache
listing page and spend most of my time with the "Dress Up Areas" of the cache listing page to help
you make a Nice looking cache page.

The first thing that you have to look for on this page and on the first page on Geocaching.com on the left side
of the page (also highlighted in yellow on my ABOVE page.) you will see "HIDE & SEEK A CACHE" click on this link.
NEXT
First You Must read the "Cache Listing Requirements and Guidelines". This is something that will help you in placing your Cache and hopefully save you some problems that the cache Reviewer may bring up.
After reading and understanding the cache guidelines then click on the "Online Form" and you will end up on a page like shown below.

Next you will see the the "Online Form". This is what you see when you are First starting to fill in the Forum.
NOTE: Remember that you have a 40 minute time frame to fill out your listing.
So I recommend that you go to the bottom of the page and save it often. You can always go back and "Edit" the Listing.
BUT - If you are not ready to publish your cache UN-CHECK the box highlighted in yellow! (#6)

Next I will go through each section of the "Online Form" each shown by the Red numbers from 1 to 20.
I have put a button that will print out the 1 through 20
Help listed below.
- NOTE = You will first see.
- Report a New Cache:
- Please fill out the information below regarding your cache. Once you are done, click on the button at the bottom of the page to send it for review. You will receive a confirmation if your cache report was successfully submitted. Always keep a backup of your cache information. You have a limited session time frame (40 minutes). You'll need to enter your cache report within this time, or your session will end and your submission won't be sent. If you need more time, we suggest writing your report in a text editor and copying and pasting the text onto this page. If you wish to add images to your cache, you'll have the option of uploading images once your cache report has been submitted.
- #1 = Cache Type:
- Here you have 8 cache type options and you will have to pick the type of cache hide that you are making. This is where reading the "Cache Listing Requirements and Guidelines" will help.
- #2 = Cache Size:
- This is where you will select the Cache Container size. (I have been known as not making a selection here to make it a surprise).
- #3 = Cache Name:
- Here you will put your Cache Hide Name. Cachers like to get creative with their Cache Name.
- #4 = Who Placed the Cache:
- This should already have your Cacher Name filled in. (You see wife and my caching name is already there.)
- #5 = Check if you only want Premium and Charter Members to view this cache:
- I guess if you would want ONLY "Premium and Charter Members" to view this cache" then check this. I NEVER check this so all cachers can enjoy my cache hides.
- #6 = Yes, this listing is active :
- (For new listings, if you want to work on this listing before it is reviewed, uncheck this box. Reviewers will only see the listing in the queue when it is checked.)
- #7 = Date Placed:
- You will want to select the date when you will be submitting the cache hide.
- NOTE: If you select "Geocaching Event (Event Cache)" then this will change to "Date of Event" where you will fill in the Event Date.
- #8 = Related Web Page:
- This is where you may put in a link to another web site page maybe that would tell more about a cache. Event cache placers would use this to maybe tell more about the Event. You see this used with Mega Event Listings.
- #9 = Background Image URL: Hang on here we go....
- Optional field. This will change the background image on the web page to the location of the image that you may want.
- HOW TO UPLOAD YOUR IMAGES: These images can be used for your cache Listing or page background.
- * Note: Page Background image should be 200 X 200 Pixels or smaller. This small image is repeated many time in the background
- * Note: Cache Page Images should be NO LARGER THAN 500 X 500 Pixels to fit the cache listing page correct.
You see a lot of cache page listings where the images are to large and you will see that the page extends to the right to far and look sloppy. This will not happen with an image no wider than 500 pixels.- * When finished filling out the information in this box shown you may go to the bottom of the page and (check) "Yes. I have read and understand the guidelines for listing a cache." and also (check) "Yes. I have read and agree to the terms of use agreement.. " then click on "Report New Listing" or "Edit Listing" at the bottom of the page.>/dt>
- * You will be taken back to the same looking page, at the top of the page you will read "Your cache has been edited. "view listing" (click on) view listing.
- * Now you can see your cache page. We go back to this screen a lot while designing a new Cache.
- * Select "Log your visit"
- * In "Type of log:" select "Write a Note" Write something then "Submit log entry"
- * You will be taken to your new log: On the top right of the log you will see [upload image].
- * Now you are in "Uploading for Log" page in "File" select "Browse" this will take you to the place on your computer where you have stored your image. Fill out the rest of this form then select "Upload"
- * Next you should see the "Uploading for loc" page: Click on "view" now you will see a page with your image on it.
- * Click on the image: Now you will see your image alone on a page.
- * On the top of this page you will see something like this.

- raise the cleverness of each hide. I believe we have done it one more time. The

- such. Again NO PUZZLES and NO CODES TO BREAK, just good hides!
- <p>* This one is in a HIGH MUGGLE AREA so use stealth when searching.
