Getting Started

How to Make that great looking Cache Find Log.
We will make this as easy as possible. Below is an example of a cache Log with examples of text. We'll give you all the tools that you need to make that special Log.

The Code that you have to use is called "BB CODE"
Please don't get this confused with HTML it's close, BB Code is used in "Forms" Not Web building.



This is how it is written in BBCode....


NOTE: Every command has to end with a "[/" the command. Take a look at the code above....Other than that it is realy easy.

We will break it down step by step:

- - - the three "[^][^][^]" are calling up the "Approve Smily" I like to rate my Cache Finds this way. 3 is GOOD,
       more than 3 GREAT.

- - - Copy and past more Smiles by clicking the Smile Button above your Log.

- - - [size=4] is making the text larger.

- - - [red] changing this text "We Found It!" font color to RED.

- - - [/size] is ending the font size command returning th font size to normal.

- - - [/red] is ending the font color returning it to the defult color.

- - - [i] is setting the next text to ITALIC.

- - - [blue] changing the text color to BLUE- "Can you beleive it? It only took us"

- - - [/i] ending the ITILIC command

- - - [b] changing the text to BOLD

- - - [green] changing the text color to GREEN- 20 minutes

- - - [/green] ending the green text command.

- - - [/b] ending the bold text command

- - - [i] returning the text toITALIC

- - - [blue] also returning the text to the color BLUE-"to find this one"

- - - [/blue] ending the font color blue

- - - [/i] ending the italic command

- - - [b] setting the next text to BOLD

- - - [red} setting the next text to RED- !

- - - [/b] ending the bold command

- - - [/red] ending the red command

That's it for this log. Below we will give you a list of the BB commands that you can use.

The BB code is limited in the geocaching logs but with this you can stand out with Your Cool Logs.

NOTE: If you make a neat log maybe copy it to "notepad" and just copy and paste it in your new logs then all you will have to do is modify some text a bit.
